• Account information: Your Google account name and email address, used to create and identify your account.
• Medicine inventory data: Medicine names, prices, quantities, expiration dates, locations, and any images you upload.
• Chat messages: Conversations you have with the AI assistant, stored so you can review them later.
• Subscription status: Your payment and subscription state, managed via Wayl payment services.
• Team data: If you create or join a team, your username and team membership information.

• To authenticate you and maintain your session.
• To store and display your medicine inventory.
• To provide AI assistant responses based on your inventory and questions.
• To manage your subscription and grant access to features.
• To enable team collaboration between pharmacists.

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond operating Balsam.

Balsam uses the following third-party services to function:

• Google Sign-In: For authentication. Governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
• OpenAI: Powers the AI assistant. Your chat messages are sent to OpenAI's API to generate responses. Governed by OpenAI's Privacy Policy.
• Cloudinary: Stores medicine images you upload. Governed by Cloudinary's Privacy Policy.
• Wayl: Processes subscription payments. Governed by Wayl's Privacy Policy.
• Neon (PostgreSQL): Hosts your app data securely in the cloud.
• Railway: Hosts the application backend.

We do not sell your data to any third party.

All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Authentication is handled via signed JWT tokens. We take reasonable measures to protect your data, though no system can guarantee absolute security.
